So I am sitting at home after my thanksgiving dinner and I’m playing some Rust (a unity game). I really like this game, especially with friends. There is one problem with this game… the lag. It couldn’t have been my fault, I own a gtx 670. So I can’t be me, well alas it was my fault. My carrots were tussled for the last time when my game froze and I was brutally murdered from a bandit. I quit the game from frustration and looked online for a fix. Apparently, the extreme lag was coming from an outdated Realtek driver from 2012. They don’t automatically update so I did a little download and a little restart and BAM BAM BAM EVERYTHING WAS SILKY SMOOTH. Not only was the game suuuuuper smooth but also various other programs I had in my computer like Unity, Photoshop, and Visual Studio. No more hiccups!
If you are experiencing hiccups in your games and applications AND you have a realtek audio sound manager, then you must absolutely check out this link:

I run everything perfectly now (Windows 8.1 btw). Follow those super simple instructions and I hope I helped someone else with these problems
