No Orange Outline in-editor

For some reason — recently — I have stopped getting ‘orange’ outlines around objects.

I copied all of my assets from my old project and pasted it to the new one. It didn’t work. My lighting was all different — very weird.
I can give you an example of the difference with the lighting — same assets imported, and same lighting settings in the tab. Orange outline was working. I then tried importing different folders in my old project to the project — for example… “shader cache” & “metadata” — It brought my old project into my new one. My lighting was normal again — but! No more orange outline.

I am using Unity 5.6.0f2 (64-bit). Thanks.

In the scene view click on “gizmos” on the top right of the view and enable “selection outline”
