no root motion with mecanim generic rigs?

I’ve also posted this on the forum, but I’m uncertain if this isn’t more appropriate here - in any case, sorry for the spamming!!

I’m trying to build a mecanim locomotion with a four-legged creature. My problem is that I can’t get my creature to do a loop with continious root-motion.

for my humanoid characters this is not an issue - but I need it to work for my four-legged friend as well

I got it working!!

As it rums out maya2013 seems to be the weak link. As soon as I used maya2012 and exported using fbx2012.1 -everything worked as expected. I hope this can help others in a similar situation
