No shadowcasting in certain objects

Hey there,

does anybody know, if it is possible to exclude some (not all) objects from shadow casting?
I have a huge and distant city that eats up all ressources by casting shadows…
And that city doesn`t need to cast shadows…

First of all you have the shadow distance in the Quality settings.
In addition to that you can turn off cast shadows per mesh renderer.
Another option is to use a shader that doesn’t cast shadows.
