No sound when playing the car tutorial in unity 3.5

Just recently started in Unity and I recently updated to 3.5 from 3.4. I played the car tutorial and noticed that there is no sound (except for crashes). has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there any way to solve it?

This is an issue since 3.5 was released. In fact Unity has decided that this is going to be expected behaviour from now on.

Simply do the following check on each AudioSource in your soundcontroller…
For example, once DAudio and its properties have been initialised… add the following code…

if(!DAudio.isPlaying)
  DAudio.Play();

For anyone (like myself) who’s new to iPhone, the ‘ring’ switch also seems to disable all game audio.
