NoesisGUI

Hi,

Who has experience with the NoesisGUI component, and what are your findings? I am considering using it for a game because it kind of looks (very) promising and exactly what I need/like.

The thing that worries me is that I don’t find a lot of references on people actually using it, little documentation, little or no tutorials or video’s. Or at least not compared to other GUI frameworks for Unity. What am I missing? Is it because it’s relatively new?

If you have experience with it, would you recommend it? Anything I need to be aware of? What are the ‘cons’?

There are some reviews on the asset store, just scroll down and you will see. They all say good things about it.

I was going to buy it but I decided not to because of the lack of tutorials. I sent a pm to them mentioning that they should make a tutorial etc and they replied that they are in the process of making some, but I’ve heard this from quite a few authors and a year later and they haven’t released one.

So I now wait and see, if they can be bothered to take a day to make a tutorial then I’ll spend my money on their product.

If the new gui comes out before they release the tutorial then I won’t bother buying it.

Just a quick clarification, there are a lot of tutorials inside noesisGUI. What is missing is a video tutorial that is updated with the latest version. This one (http://vimeo.com/65549290) is outdated, many things have been improved.

Although, we are working to improve the video tutorials we believe that written documents are always better than videos.
