Not destroying a prefab, and destroying the obj itself

I’m trying to make a Zelda-ish game, and I want it so that after I swing my sword, it destroys the sword, no the prefab for the sword. Any ideas? And if you can make it so that my sword will actually swing too, that’d be great.

Actually, I solved my problem. I found a way to destroy objects with certain tags, instead of trying to destroy the prefab I set my variable to.
