Novic Animation Question

As I have no knowledge of how to create animations, I am subject to however others have created them in their model packs. My question is, if someone has included animations for a model, but not neccesarily for Unity, how do set the animations up for Unity?

I downloaded a model pack from someone on the showcase threads. The models have animations, but there is no reference explaining them. I know, in Unity, you have to define where each animation starts and stops to be able to use them correctly. How do I figure out the start and end keyframe of animations on the models I got? My attempt to just time each animation and guess the keyframe didn’t quite pan out.

Hello!

AFAIK, you will have to use your program where you created the animation to know which frames are the ones that start/stop your animations.

Or, you can use trial/error approach to guess which are the frames. (which I don’t suggest you)

But I didn’t create the animations, and I don’t know what program was used.

What format are the models in (FBX)?
You could import them into any program (3D modeling)that can read them and (I assume) the frames would show up.
How large are the files?
You could post the files and have someone import them and let you know the aniamtion breakdown.
