Nowadays, does Unity -> PhysX use the actual GPU on NVidia cards?

Any time you happen to update the NVidia drivers on your PC, GEForce happily announces that it has updated PhysX.

For 2018,

does anyone know if when Unity is using PhysX, it does indeed use GPU acceleration for the PhysX?

This seems to get asked every couple of years - and never answered! Does anyone actually know?
