NullReferenceException in Creator Kit: Beginner Code

I’m currently following along with the Creator Kit: Beginner Code and I’m at a section where it’s asking me to create and open a new script file. I follow along and in the top menu, go to Beginner Code > Create Item Effect and then enter a name without spaces and select Create.

However, the moment I press Create, the console tells me “NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object”. I’ve just been following the tutorial so far and have not made any personal adjustments so I have no idea where this has popped up from. The tutorial makes no reference and shows that it should just work, but it hasn’t yet.
Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

Hey, I haven’t been able to find an answer to this myself since I ran into the issue.

I don’t know if you found a solution yourself, but what I did was copy the contents of the script from the tutorial and manually create the folder and script file myself.
