I’d like to ask for your help. I received a one-star review for my app Number Crunchers on a Galaxy S4 and would like to know if anybody running this device can give it a quick try to see if the app indeed does not load properly. I’m a little upset that I got this review, and hope that this is not a huge problem. Thanks in advance!
Some people just like to downvote stuff, from the video it looks great, maybe the graphics could do with a bit more polish (IMO) not a fan of the sounds and typography (IMO). Gameplay looks good and simple enough, I suppose you just have to match the sums?
What I would say is there any predictability on the monster movement? So you can actively find a path to miss them, kinda like the walls in pacman?
@iamthwee Thanks for your feedback. It looks like you’re responding to the entire thread, so I’ll reply accordingly. The one star review was definitely a “haters gonna hate” review. I politely asked what the problems the user was having, and that I actually did test on that device and it was working. About an hour later, the review was pulled. Go figure.
As for your suggestions, it kind of sounds like you may not be familiar with the source material. Number Crunchers is based on an old 80s computer edutainment game called Number Munchers. To those who remember, it’s a pretty nostalgic homage to the original if I implemented well enough to capture the spirit. There are different math modes you can choose from. I agree I can polish up the graphics a little more, but I set myself a hard deadline so that I could gauge my output.
The monsters have specific movement patterns, nearly identical to their counterparts in the source material. They’re behaviors are also described in the tutorial.
I’ll post a link to the original game when I find a link.
