number of animations limit

As I reached the 31st animation on my character (Using takes in Cheetah 3d) the animation is imported into the animation list but it will not play; it’s frozen at the first frame. I tried deleting another animation making the number of animations imported 30. This fixed it and the animation started to loop as is should.

Is there a limit to the number of takes I can use? And if so is there a work around. Splitting animations form one long take perhaps?

Help is much appreciated as I will need a lot more animations on this character.

I dont know about splitting, but we have characters with thousands of animations assigned to a charactver

I know that is not helpful, but at least you know it’s not a limit on what your characer prefab can have.

So you’re issue is not number of animations as is in your topic heading…you’re issue is splitting

From what sparse info I could find online it might be a issue with the FBX format not being able to hold more “takes” than 30 in one file. I should be able to get around it by duplicating the character skeleton into a new cheetah file and creating 30 new animation takes in that. Import it into Unity and add these animations to my original character prefab.
