Nuvlear Games

Hey,
I am Marnus Stoop Lead Programmer,Lead Designer, Founder and Owner of Nuvler Games.
It is currently only me that is working on our projects and so they are not the best looking and optimized games but as I get more people working on them they WILL improve.
Currently the project we are working on is called Shields of Men a multiplayer/eventually game that is set in the Roman era which will have FPS combat, RPG gameplay and strategy elements and almost FPS simslike features with the players having to physically build their buildings out of the materials they buy or harvest.

Here are the links to what I have done so far:

please keep in mind that I have very little time to work on this as I am currently in Grade 12 and have massive amounts of work to do there.all in all I think I have spent about 10 hours working on the project.
Hope you enjoy it and please leave comments

Special thanks to Quill18 who taught me how to do many of the stuff inside the game

OK some recent developments in the world of nuvlear games

  1. I have been able to work on anything for the last 3 three weeks because of time constraints and technical problems.
2.i will start a new less time intensive FPS multiplayer shooter aimed at windows and maybe web browsers.
3.I am halting development of Shields of Men for a while as I don’t have the time necessary for it massive scale and I need to have more experience and people on the job and especially concept art and models.

i’ll report back with new updates about the new game as it becomes available.

Let’s hope all goes well

I want to know if this is your first game?

if so maybe start off on something not multiplayer thats an FPS so you can get it down on just a normal game then try for multiplyaer. Also grade 12 shouldnt be used for excuse on slow progress just say its going to be a slow progress game. In grade 12 I had lots of work and still had lots of time.

It is my first serious attempt in the aspect that I actually spend time on it and tell people about and actually worked longer than a week on.
Grade 12 isnt the whole reason why didnt work on it my graphics card stopped working and I didnt have the money to get a new one and well I also like playing games so that also takes up time.

And reasons why it will be slow progress probably because I am still learning everything but lets just leave that at that. Maybe ill finally kick myself in the server backend and get myself to work harder on it.

Ok the ludum dare game is now playable at:http://gamejolt.com/games/other/60-second-dash/26056/ It is virus free dont worry, Update working on a nice GUI solution for any RPG or well any games I well create in future it is very modular and stuff will hopefully be on the asset store maybe will make a sample game with it included soon.

My newest project is over at http://gamejolt.com/games/rpg/battles-of-the-herloumanis/26091/ Been working on it since Wednesday night.

uploaded v0.0.3 at http://gamejolt.com/games/rpg/battles-of-the-herloumanis/26091/ read the news for the changes and I am looking for some people to help out on the game but that will be on a post in the collabration forum I think I have worked about 60-70 hours on this mostly on the GUI which i think is the thing I am most proud of it has almost no chance of creating bugs atm in singleplayer. well thanks for listening and have fun.

Quick Update taking a break from fullon game development till after my exams are finished in about two weeks time, mostly starting on creating a big personal code library so that I can quickly implement new ideas or such and I love programming way more than the actual game design process

the code library is coming along swimmingly:It has a complete options menu,AI,audio,Custom Editor GUI’s for most scripts, saving of options like audio and graphical settings
It is over at https://sites.google.com/site/nuvleargames/home-1/downloads?pli=1 if you want to take a look

Is this a joke?

Looking at your projects, I would suggest you start with doing the tutorials on the Unity site. It is good that you are learning, but you, like myself, are far from being a serious developer.

The website is empty, this guy is a joke.

I removed the other versions as the judging for ludum dare is over the game is hosted at http://gamejolt.com/games/other/60-second-dash/26056/

I know I am not a serious developer and nor as far as I know have I pretended to be one and it was never my intention to come across as that, I do however take my programming seriously and I have done a lot of the lessons on the unity website and other tutorials around the internet.
