Objects Not Following The Animation After Importing Into Unity

Hi there,

So I have created a character that can use a sword which obviously follows an animation. In blender the sword follows the animation perfectly as I have parented it to the bone I want it to follow, however as soon as I export it as an FBX to unity the sword then stops following the animation all together. Any advice?

Ok I have somewhat solved it. Instead of parenting the object to the bone its self, instead I parented it to the armature with no weights and manually weight painted the Sword.
