So… What do Lines in the visualisation of Occlusion Culling show us exactly?
I was expecting some sort of straight lines that show me why some objects are not occluded. Like ray casts from the camera, that show me that they do touch a certain object. They even go inside floors…
Instead they curve, they go around corners, over objects. What feedback am I getting for this? The manual doesn’t seem to have a description for the (or I can’t find it).
It seems that it’s mocking me… “Here is why this object isn’t occluded: because if you start from the camera, go under the floor, turn a corner, than move over a wall, it’s visible then!”…
Also: Portals. I’m using PVS Only, so why are portals generated? How are they placed? They seem to be placed at weird places (I can’t make sense of it) and why do the lines go through them?
