I used OC and it doesn’t seem to reduce fps, tris and verts. On the Visualisation tab after Bake all the objects seem to be occluded.
But the performance numbers are still the same.
I would recommend taking a look in the Profiler to see where you’re getting bottlenecked. It might be that something else is limiting your FPS, and object culling alone isn’t having any effect.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into it.
By the way do you have to check each non-moving objects as Static? Some video tutorials check them and some tutorials don’t seem to bother checking Static.
Also, as long as you see cut off effect in the Visualizer tab it means Occlusion Culling is working, right?
I was under the impression that you do, but I haven’t messed with it a ton to know for sure. I would think, for certainty’s sake, you’d want to mark all your static objects as such.
That’s my understanding, yes. The Scene view should also show objects rendering or not if they’re being culled properly.
