I’ve been googling for a little while but I’m somewhat stuck. I’m developing a little proof-of-concept VR thing for university and I only have access to an old DK2 for testing. This isn’t a problem because the VR component is super simple, but apparently the latest version of Unity isn’t compatible with the DK2.
Does anyone happen to know which versions of unity work with a DK2? I’ve heard it can be a massive hassle to get it to work, but I don’t really fancy learning OpenGL and stuff to make it all from scratch.
I’m using a DK2 with 5.6.1. There was no massive hassle?
I can’t tell you which version of the Oculus runtime I’m using right now as I’m away from that PC; but for things like this the runtime version can be important.
What runtime version do you have? If it’s the newest one, try older.
You, you are my lord!
If you read this message, I’m trying hard to start to develop again with my DK2, but I stopped more then a year ago, i I REALLY DON’T KNOW which version of what I need, to proceed in making a good configuration!
By your last message, in June 2017, you say (and I’m happy to read), that you using DK2 with 5.6.1!
Hmm, happy to help as much as I can, but I’m sorry to report I have formatted/reinstalled Windows since that post and I don’t do Oculus development anymore, so I’m uncertain which version of the SDK I had. I should have posted it. Looking in my downloads folder, the latest version of the runtime I see is 1.12. You could start there
