I’ve made a simple VR app - just a 3d object in the scene and it works fine using Samsung GearVR headset and GearVR Oculus app. But once I import Oculus Integration asset from the asset store into the project and build and run it the following message is display once it starts up.
I am running on Samsung Galaxy S7 and GearVR model SM-R322
Is there a particular group of assets in the Oculus Integration that are not supported by GearVR that I could remove? My understanding is that the scripts used to handle controller input and monitor if the headset is being worn are found in this asset pack for both Oculus and GearVR.
Most of the links here link to the unity asset store which is for the oculus integration that no longer supports GearVR, which is confusing because that page was linked at the bottom of the article that states GearVR is no longer supported. However, hidden at the bottom of the article one can select legacy versions. The legacy versions link goes to the following URL.
I have not tried anything with this yet but I imagine this would provide the most additional functionality that one can get from Oculus now. I also found the manual for the latest version (1.42) that is available before it migrated to the asset store.
Oculus doesn’t say when they’ll stop accepting GearVR apps, as far as I have found anyway. But it seems that this heralds the coming end of the GearVR app store.
if you are one 2019.3, you can get the latest XR Management package (3.0.6 for me) and you should use the Oculus XR Plugin 1.1.5.
All above versions will not work. I tested this morning 1.3.3 without any success.
I am in trouble …the application has no errors…it install and run only in one device in the other 20 samsung s6 give me the message that I’must upgrade Oculus…but also after resetting the devices and reinstalliing Oculus from google play store the problem persist. I think that oculus app in device from play sstore does not accept the old version of gear app. How can I solve the matters?
I’m not sleeping fo days!..and another night is coming…Think you in advanced
