Odd finger behaviour

I have a problem with my character rigs in Unity. When imported and animated they start to use weird finger bahaviours like this:

When i check the Animation in the little preview it does nothing like that.

I checked the Avatar that all of the bones are assigned correctly. There is only one weid thing that the pinky is inside the ring finger. When rotated out it gives me the note that apperently my character isn’t in t-pose anymore.

That doesn’t make a difference. So I checked the weighting just to be sure that there was no skinning problem. But again everything looks fine here:

My throubleshoots so far:

  • Different riggs (the only one that seemed to work was after getting my meshes through the
    Mixamo auto thing but it lost my facial bones and it seemed to make them shaky in Unity)
  • Different Animation Types in the Rig section on my imported models.
  • Other animation data

Apart from the mixamo approach everything led to the same result.
I have no idea what’s causing the problem so I was hoping someone else experienced similar things

I have had peculiar rotations in my rigs too. I don’t really know what caused it, but I got around it by manually rotating the offending joints back into T pose in the import settings for the rig under the configure settings. Those rotations trickled through to the animations derived from the file.
