Odd Graphics Issue w/ Mixamo Characters from Asset Store

Enclosed is a picture of the sample scene that comes with the female set of the Mixamo characters from the asset store. I am also having problems with the model size of these characters, they are importing into the scene ‘huge’ . I have adjusted it down to 1.0 before import and they are still very large. A picture is attached.

Any feedback on this would really be appreciated.

I cannot replicate this issue on our end.

Seems to me like this is a scale issue. You mention trying to set the scale factor to 1.0? They should be set to 0.01.

If you have an editor script that prescales your objects disable it and change the scale or try adding a few lines to the scripts only scales objects added to a folder named “PreScale” or a “Meshes” folder.

Let me know if this is the problem, if not we might ask you to send us some source files of your so we can debug on our end.

Cheers,

Yes the incoming scale of the character is very large perhaps adjusting the size and re-uploading to the store would be helpful. It appears the size adjustment is ‘not applying’ I loaded one character she came in a 0.4, so I reduced the FBX Import down to 0.01 and hit apply, the button then disappeared but the character did not change size. I tried this with a Mia and Alexis.

I have cleaned up the Unity3D files and reloaded it thinking it might be an install glitch. I then tried a tiger I purchased, it seems that the FBX import is not converting the characters to the right size when applied. I have to manually change the size in Properties to get it to resize correctly.

Could be a meta data issue in the project.

Try creating a brand new empty project and loading the characters into a scene and testing the scale again. I’ve had some problems with meta data in projects before.

@Merries Unfortunately adjusting our scale is not an option.

There are no scale problem on any of our office rigs.

Let me know if starting a new project works.

Ive tried everything I could, restarted a new project, removed Unity and all folders, reinstalled, ran a computer cleanup. Nothing has fixed the FBX non-scaling problem.

if you zip up a unity package and post it here or e-mail it to contact @ mixamo .com I’ll look at it asap.

I don’t think its a Mixamo problem, as it happens with other models as well not just Mixamo characters. I reported this to Unity.
