Odd issues with WebPlayer 4.0.1f

Hey UT,

One of my demos is showing some odd behavior, i even rez’d an old version from a couple years ago. In the player, it defaults to a release channel called “stable”. When it plays, my models are wacky and int values are not being passed correctly ending with negative numbers on the ending screen. How if i keep the stable checked and select development, it works as it has since Majd released this years ago. The webplayer version was created in 4.0, are there any familiar issues here?

Here is the link:

Tested with webplayer 4.0.1f in:
Win 7 64bit, firefox 17.0.1
Win 7 64bit, Chrome 23.0.1271.97 m

Please see the attached screens just below this text (from chrome in this case).
This is just the default with stable checked, at the end of the game the score will be negative, as you can see from the image

This is with stable and development checked, the game run fine, the final score is not in the negative. and i don’t have the messed up verts on 3d objects like in the logo below.

EDIT:

When i got home i thought i would give it ago with the Mac, the below image that shows two browsers stacked on each other. The top browser is Chrome version 23.0.1271.101 and the browser under(behind chrome) is Safari version 6.0.2 (7536.26.17). I went to the same site for CaveRun 3d, I made sure i updated the plugin. Unity is not installed on this mac. As you can see, when i did About Unity WebPlayer i’m getting really funky results that aren’t making any sense.

Anything? At the very least the way Unity Real-Time Development Platform | 3D, 2D, VR & AR Engine is reading values was doing it wrong. There is some goofy with the web player

We had wacky results too after migrating to unity4. After a lot swearing we came to the conclusion that when your software was build with 4 you have to be sure that the “release” webplayer channel is used. If not force it yourself to test it.

Another indicator is when you build a stand alone version it all works fine. Hope this will point you to the right direction.

Ultimately, we want the plugin itself workout the matching, but I’m waiting for an answer to that. If you already found it then I’m very interested in it. Cheers
