This may be caused by antivirus software opening the file while Unity needs to use it.
I get to see this pretty regularily too and my antivirus is pretty non-stressing commonly (Nod32 internet security).
As I have unity on the exclusion list of my guard I actually doubt its related to that, especially as it works with my own programs which are on the guard without any problem.
No idea where the problem in unity comes from, sometimes it takes up to 30s before I can continue to build thanks to this.
I’m getting the same thing and it’s as annoying as hell some times
I’m using Kaspersky 2009 Anti-Virus and there’s no pop-ups complaining about it.
It also did it every now and again when I was using Windows XP
There’s definitely something going on with Windows 7. Aside from the mapped file problem importing assets, especially images takes a LOT longer on my Windows 7 machine then it does on my less powerful Mac Mini.
