This question in itself is a bit off-topic, but is there a REAL off-topic subforum on this forum? This “Unity Gossip” seems to be the most “off-topic” esque subforum i found, but going by the name it looks like you have to stay in the context of game development/Unity.
I mean, random chatter can be fun, but i guess they don’t have one so people don’t start to argue about unimportant things, because that is what happens on alot of off-topic forums, i mean, people always find something to argue about, be it music taste or politics.
I’ve been here for a while and I still wonder that. Most of the time if not talking about games development, we talk about games in general. Welcome to the forums anyway!
It’s cool, go ahead and read the pointless threads in unity gossip, give your opinions, and everything else. It’s soon an addiction. Sit down and get comfortable, you may be here a while lol.
I should really go back to coding my game, i need to finish a game in 7 weeks for something school related, and i’m going big on this one. (Big for me atleast, basically i’m planning to make an entire base for an RPG game (Inventory/Equipment handling, Skills, Quests, Combat, AI…), and have some kind of simple gameplay ready to show.)
Or well, what i should really do is sleep, but we all know programmers and sleep don’t mix.
Most threads turn into flame wars, or debates on what needs fixed, and sometimes we even do game politics. If we all had a 30 minute time slot on a TV Network we would make G4 TV look like kiddies.
Actually my threads are just opinions, most are not flame wars either. Most importantly my threads gain interest, so they must have provided someone the urge to read in the 1st place.
