offline lerning?

hi all

i am very very new and have been looking around at places to make games as a hobby and decided unity with 2d sounds good to me.
i am interested in 2d games and like the idea of being able to have 3d elements in it

alot of places suggest unity for 2d so i thought why not, however all the tutorials seem to be online and i dont have access to the net all the time

could someone suggest where to begin as a beginner that i could learn offline?
i was looking for something free to begin to see if i like game dev and then i could venture into a book later on

any suggestions would be great for a offline txt tutorial

Thanks

Can you find a tutorial you like when online, and simply save it to disk for viewing offline later?

There are ways to save YouTube videos, for example, and if you find a decent text-based tutorial (perhaps like mine, though this is more intermediate-level than beginner), you can simply save the page from your browser or (at least if you’re on a Mac) print it to PDF.

You can also install the documentation offline and simply read the manual. It’s slower then starting with videos. But will give you a more solid foundation.
