Old Japan Asset Package(s)

I’ve been working on some medium-poly realistic and authentic Japanese assets.

I have about 150 fbx files ready, and am putting together useful prefabs (shaders, colliders, modules, sets, rooms, door scripts, whole buildings) so I can see what big or little items I might be missing. I’m starting to test the modules with lightmapping to make sure all my settings are just right to become great scenes.

The shots below are from Blender, but I’ll share poly views if anyone’s interested.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I’m mostly doing this for myself, but I hope to put some asset packages together for the Asset Store in the coming days. I think I’d rather have multiple smaller packs than a big expensive “everything” pack. What do you guys think?

She doesn’t quite look East Asian in those screens, maybe Eurasian? I don’t really know why that’s the case.

The other stuff is really cool.

I’ve adjusted the metrics for her face, but I agree, there’s still some fine-tuning to go. The MakeHuman “oriental” morph was too horrible to start with that. She’s a peasant, not a higher-caste girl, so I’ve not done up the hair or animated her with genteel grace.
