Old mac old xcode

Hi,

so i have an old macbook 13" that i can’t not upgrade OSX to a newer version hence i can not upgrade XCode to a newer version.

Does anyone know of any neat options?

I’ve seen preople installing mountain lion on it only in version 10.8.4. I need 10.8.6 for the new xcode.

I’ve also seen www.macincloud.com which might work out for the final release or am i wrong?

Regards,
Defero

Well, macincloud can make the final build, but won’t be able to deploy the game to your iOS device, so isn’t really useful for development.

What problem are you trying to solve? What OS and Xcode version do you have today?

At the moment i have an old 10.6.x OS installed. The problem is, that apple doesn’t support newer OS on my machine because of the old hardware.
I’m just wondering if there are any ways around that or is buying a new mac the only way to solve this.

At the moment that computer doesn’t have any Xcode installed but the version that would work is 4.6.3. Which doesn’t help me if i googled correctly, Xcode 5 is a must now for releasing on app store.

Well, do what dev you can on the current machine. You should be able to get you app tested on your iOS devices. Then, once you have something you want to ship to the App Store, either investigate macincloud, or decide to buy a more modern mac.
