Older unity version not available in cloud build

How to build old project? It was working fine “only” 10 months ago…
Cannot expect users to force upgrade projects so fast (many things can break) and since this is now paid service, would expect things to work for longer time?

Hi we support over 350+ of the most recent versions of unity. We removed many of the legacy and unsupported version from our platform according to our deprecation schedule.

There are still many versions of 2020.3.x available.

yeah well that is what it is… personally i think LTS for 2 years is not really “Long Term”,

anyways,
curious that what is the technical reason or limitation,
that prevents keeping older images available longer?

The unity LTS schedule is determined by the editor team and is unrelated to the devops platform (we have limited influence over the editor team’s choice to support ancient versions). Additionally, LTS does not apply to .1.x or .2.x versions, nor Tech releases (the current live iteration of the editor). LTS comes into effect when an editor release goes into .3.x and beyond. That said, Unity Enterprise has started offering 3 years of LTS now: Unity Plans & Pricing: Pro, Personal, Enterprise, Industry | Unity because this is a pretty common ask from the enterprise studios. but this only applies from the current version of unity onwards.

There are multiple reasons. first of all, it costs money to keep live images around for every version of unity (both new ones and old ones). Secondly, and the real reason behind this latest batch of deprecations is because we wanted to deprecate MacOS Big Sur so that we can refresh our Mac hardware for performance reasons.

The guidance from the editor team is to move to year.3.x as soon as it’s released and normally there is limited risk in moving from a .2.x to a .3.y release.

I am missing the current version 2021.3.42f1 in cloud built. When will it be available?
