Older versions of Unity3d Indie and Unity iPhone (2.x)

Hello,

I have licensed Unity 3d Indie v.2.1 + Unity iPhone in the past. Now I need to re-download the binaries since I lost my data.
It is my understanding that Unity3d v.3.1 Indie is free now ( I paid $585.00 for the previous ones), but Unity iOS will cost $400.00.

I’d like to use what I have, since I already paid for it. So, here are my questions:

  1. Will my license still work on v.3.1? If not - see below.
  2. Where I can download the older Unity3d Indie v.2.x + Unity iPhone

  1. No you can not use your old key on U3.
    As you realized though Unity Indie ceased existing long ago (dec 09 the special offers ended, technically it was gone in oct 09), so that is a free upgrade. The Unity iOS upgrade for the old iPhone Basic license to the U3 iOS non-pro is $150 if you enter your old key

  2. Normally easy to get, just take the current download url (speed downloader spits it out) and replace the filename with the corresponding counterpart for the old one:

Unity iPhone 1.7: http://download.unity3d.com/download_unity/unity_iphone-1.7.0.dmg
Unity 2.6.1: http://download.unity3d.com/download_unity/unity-2.6.1.dmg

Just for completeness:

The windows ones are at the same place. To get their url, just copy the link and then replace

unity-2.6.1.dmg

with

UnitySetup-2.6.1.exe

which results in http://download.unity3d.com/download_unity/UnitySetup-2.6.1.exe
this replacement works for any version you might search
