Omega Squad [PC-Steam] Team based Shooter RPG

Another release, another fail.

The title i will present you today is Omega Squad, available on Steam, made entirely with unity.

Omega squad is a game that takes inspiration from Alien Breed from team 17 and expands on the gameplay, not only you shoot stuff while you explore a space station, but you actually have to manage 7 different marines, each with their own armor,speed,size, weapon and unique ability.

A little bit of rpg to sprinkle on top that allows you to build each marine as you like, pumping skills like demolitions, leadership, hacking just to name a few, and a powerup tree for each marine unique skill.

Unique skills will range from a shield, a rocket swarm, a deployable turret and other buffs.

Since i was not happy enough i slapped on a fatigue system and an armor penetration system. This will soft force the player to use different marines.

Everything has been done by me, graphics, story, coding, level design, game design, bought some sound and music assets from unity store and just used audacity to fine tune the weapon FX

The game launched yesterday and it was a major success with an incredible amount of copies sold, 3.

Now i do have a question for y’all

I began adding a new game mode similar to resident evil revelations raid mode, i’ve almost worked out the interface for that new mode, still missing the item generation in the shop. I would have to rework, re engineer all the scripts because the original game was not built with this mode in mind, especially the way weapon will have to work now, the monsters with unique perks, the loot system ala diablo, grenades and armor loot, plust 5 difficulty levels.

Is it worth keeping on? Considering nobody plays the game, is the hurdle worth the time and effort or should i do something else?

Bonus question: With the way the gaming market is behaving in 2022 should i keep making games or would i be better off resizing myself to art commissions?
