Another release, another fail.
The title i will present you today is Omega Squad, available on Steam, made entirely with unity.
Omega squad is a game that takes inspiration from Alien Breed from team 17 and expands on the gameplay, not only you shoot stuff while you explore a space station, but you actually have to manage 7 different marines, each with their own armor,speed,size, weapon and unique ability.
A little bit of rpg to sprinkle on top that allows you to build each marine as you like, pumping skills like demolitions, leadership, hacking just to name a few, and a powerup tree for each marine unique skill.
Unique skills will range from a shield, a rocket swarm, a deployable turret and other buffs.
Since i was not happy enough i slapped on a fatigue system and an armor penetration system. This will soft force the player to use different marines.
Everything has been done by me, graphics, story, coding, level design, game design, bought some sound and music assets from unity store and just used audacity to fine tune the weapon FX
The game launched yesterday and it was a major success with an incredible amount of copies sold, 3.
