I am importing objects created with Lightwave, and exported from LW as fbx files. (also occurs using obj files)
The issue: I set the albedo to an image, but the object is all one color, presumably taken from a pixel from the image, based on the color I get.
Other models, exported the same way, work fine. I even added something to an existing model: the old stuff worked correctly but the new geometry messed up. This makes me believe the actual problem is in Lightwave, possibly something in the settings, but I haven’t had any luck figuring out what.
Update: UV mapping the objects in LW did the trick. Still not sure why it would be that way, but at least I have a solution.
