Hello,
I’m big into mmos and other nice quality games, mainly 3d ones. But it’s really hard to find some decent ones on the internet, and steam. If you guys could maybe point me in the right direction on where to look or even post a game or something that would be great.
I’m mainly in to action, adventure, shooter, survival, post apocalyptic kinda mmos
I prefer Guild Wars (as you only pay once) for the game and never again.
Guild Wars 2 is out now, but I don’t find it as enjoyable as Guild Wars 1, however, Guild Wars 1 doesn’t have as many players as it used too.
Well he didn’t exactly say F2P, but yeah I agree… Guild Wars is definitely worth the money though, it everything you’d expect. Just I got into GW 2 like a year after release so I was so far behind the masses that nobody was their to help me, so I eventually just stopped playing LOL.
Never played Neverwinter.
But wow I remember when GW1 came out, I wouldn’t ever get off of it LOL.
Played Archlord the most. I’d definitely play EVE and Elder Scrolls Online, if I could afford it. Trying out Tera now. It became free to play. Above average MMO graphix, plus a combat system that isn’t target-lock. So you have to aim to hit the target. Its a 35gb download but you can play after a couple gb has downloaded I think.
I would love to play elder scrolls but I am really against the monthly fee their trying to push. I think in the long run they will lose income with that
How much are they charging?
I would pay 10 dollars a month to play a game if it was so deserving of it at least.
Depending on the game monthy fees work like a charm.
Gesh thing of the money WOW made from monthly people.
You do the math, they were making virtually millions of a dollars a week.
(The dream huh)? LOL.
I did play Elder Scrolls Online for a bit, and have to agree with the general criticism at the time that it’s a bit much to charge a monthly fee for a game so unfinished.
All we wanted from it was “Skyrim with multiplayer”, which it does reasonably well. There’s a lot of great content. However, there’s also some stuff that’s… less than what you’d expect compared to Skyrim (eg: multiple of the same interior dungeon copied around a map?) and also when we played a lot of bugs (eg: entering an area booted us from the game, and wouldn’t let us log back in until support staff manually moved our characters to elsewhere). It’s a great game, but largely only because nobody else has made anything else that fills that particular gap. I don’t think it has to be an MMO - just normal multiplayer would rock - and the subs do make it an expensive experience.
The last time i checked they were charging 15 a month plus you had to buy the game itself, that i think is selling for somewhere around 60 USD.
Yes i would have to totally agree. I think that something like five dollars a month would be alright, and chances are with all of the dlc that will come out they would make just as much money. I think that if they made the game a lot of fun and just like the past elder scrolls game (namely skyrim) that they would make millions just off of the dlc alone. I know that i spent well over 100 on all of the dlc for skyrim and the game itself just because i loved it.
A monthly fee in my opinion is the best pricing model for an MMO. It means you get all the content and a level playing field for all players. I don’t like the idea of F2P at all for MMO’s.
