eCPM comes down to what advertisers will pay to advertise - and that, in turn, comes down to how many people will pay for games etc. on the devices. This is because the advertisers hope it is not money thrown away but are doing so in order to attract paying customers. Android users are incredible cheapskates compared to iOS users. To give you an idea, we have people playing our games as much as possible for more than 2 years who won’t make even a $1 purchase yet feel entitled to ask for instantaneous support for non-issues. These folks are nearly all on Android devices.
That said, I have noticed a sudden plummeting on eCPM for our Android ads from $2 to $0.51 since mid February. This seems odd.
This february has been bad for my android game also, $0.7 overall, down from $1.2 in january and $2 in december.
