is there a problem with OnTrigger ? when used on a unity plane ?

I have a moving object which has the onTrigger code, a rigid body, and a box collider…

If I make a simple unity cube… and set IsTrigger, then move into it, then the trigger is detected and it works fine.

If I make a simple unity plane, and set IsTrigger, then move into it, the trigger doesnt go off…

is it because its a different type of collider ? Box on the cube, and mesh on the plane ?

ok found a solution… just removed the mesh collider form the plane, and add a box collider and it works.

Using mesh colliders on a plane is tricky because it has no volume. That makes it relatively easy for objects to pass _through_ the mesh collider from one frame to another. Primitive colliders/triggers are much better to use for this!
