OnTriggerStay

Would it be accurate to say OnTriggerStay is the equivalent of GetButton, if OnTriggerEnter/Exit are the equivalents to GetButton.Down/Up? Or does OnTriggerStay require movement on the part of the character controller?

EDIT: Doesn’t run every frame. missed that part of the documentation. I’d still love someone more knowledgeable to explain how it works, if possible.
