Opener Iphone Animation?

Is it possible to have an opener animation open up an Iphone video game?

I have looked around and it appears that Unity only supports a graphic - say it isn’t so

If you have the Advanced License you can use iPhoneUtils.PlayMovie to play a file when the game loads.

Unity supports the same “Default.png” shown on launch that all iPhone apps support. If, once your app is launched, you want to play a video, have at it. But that’s how all apps do it. Unity isn’t leaving that out.

Is this a function that can be performed by having an Xcode front end the way Blurst and Fuel do it?

I was also wondering if the Enhancement pack would do this well in the 2nd splash-screen position. I saw a post to that effect yesterday but you seemed to indicate that you wouldn’t suggest doing git for performance reasons?

B.

Yes, but it can also be done in your Unity scripts. I’m not explaining this well. The first “splash screen” is the Default.png file, which is shown by the OS while your app is loading. Your app doesn’t show that. You have no control over that. And then, once your app is loaded, you can do anything – show another image, or play a video. If your first level is empty except for a script that plays a video on Start(), the video will appear no quicker than if the video is played in the Cocoa layer in applicationDidFinishLaunching.

The Enhancement Pack does do this, but I was trying to point out that there’s no real benefit to it. You can play the video in your first level in Start() and the overall effect (timing, appearance) will be no different.

Not to hijack this, but the Enhancement Pack allows video playback for the Basic License too right?

Conveniently I have an animated opener already done  Since we are using advanced it should be no brainer LOL

Thank You kind gentleman.

And to the hiJacker- Shame on you LOL
