In my experience, OpenFeint.1.0.1a is compatible with both Unity 3.0 (requiring an apk unpack and repack with the proper assets) and with Unity 3.1 (though it’s not a simple “plugin” experience like iOS is). OpenFeint.1.6 does not seem to work. To see their explanation of what is happening seems to jive with where I got stuck in my 1.6 implementation. OpenFeint was looking for specific elements in the xml layouts, but those elements are just missing for whatever reason.
