Opening File Failed, another version

Hey guys -

Since upgrading to 5 (and now with 5.1) I’m getting constant errors when re-importing or upgrading my project. I’ve seen other posts about very similar issues to mine, but none are exactly the same, and most are pretty old as well.

The error mesage “Opening file failed - Opening file xxx/xxx/xx/xxx.xx: The handle is invalid”

pops up maybe every couple of seconds, forcing me to hit Try Again every single time. (Note that it does NOT say “the file is being used by another process”, which was the version of the error in “known issues”, so I don’t believe this is antivirus related.

Upgrading my project takes forever now! Has anyone else encountered this?

I have the same problem. Still havent figured out how to solve it yet

I have this same problem but I’ve nailed it down to BYSync which I’m using to sync my project between devices. If I disable BTSync it’s fine but a bit of a pain. A way round this (to automatically Try Again perhaps) would be helpful.
