Does anyone have any past experience with http://marketing.comboapp.com/ ? I am thinking about hiring them for Chickie Dominos 2.0 iOS and Android marketing. Well, after I finish 2.0 that is :shock:

For a marketing website, I’m not too impressed:
“$490 - Press Release, iTunes App Reviews by Independent Reviewers (10), App Submission to Review Websites (50)”.
$1790 - Sales BoostSales Generation/Download Generation (50), Branded Press Release, Guaranteed reviews at 10 major review websites
For $500, you get what you pay for. For $1800 you should be able to get a customized marketing plan.
“Guaranteed reviews at 10 major review websites” The quality and traffic volume of the websites you’re advertised on is more important than the sheer number of websites, and they make no pre-purchase commitment as to which sites will cover you nor of their metrics (page views, followers, etc.), even on the details page.
I’m also concerned by seemingly-contradictory promises: “Aggregate positive iTunes App Reviews by Independent reviewers” and “quickly acquire hundreds of positive yet unbiased iTunes App Store reviews” If the reviewers are truly independent and unbiased, then without seeing your product, they can’t guarantee positive reviews, ergo the reviews aren’t independent or the promises are hollow.
I would only consider a site like this if people I trusted told me they had good experiences there, but that’s generally how I’ve chose marketing frims in the past anyway, not via Google.

I don’t have specific iOS marketing recommendations. I’ve contracted marketing frims for non-game projects.
On my iOS game team, one person happens to be well-connected, so it’s not a key worry.

In terms of PR I’d reccomend “Indie Developer Consulting”, there fairly cheap and do a decent job… Managed to get my stuff on Eurogamer/ Touch Arcade and various other sites on multiple occasions… And now working / possibally partnering up with them on my new Daily App Dreams stuff… So would highly reccomend those guys/gals…
