I need to know how I seperate animation from maya into peices. Right now I have two animations set up with a blank keyframe inbetween, but in Unity it shows up as one animation.
And I can’t seem to name the animation either?

See the text about animations at the end of the document.
I guess I could do as suggested and make multiple files with different animations, but does Maya support what you call Multi take animations?
I mean it allows you to create clips, poses and that sort of thing… ?
The maya exporter does not support multi take animation.
Alias MotionBuilder does support this feature.
Dang, one more reason to look into getting Motion Builder…
BTW, there is a free trial version of the latest Motion Builder available now. It does not support FBX export though, but you can check out if like the workflow.
I remember watching a movie of the Kaydara Motionbuilder some years ago, already then they had foot to floor support, and animation capabilities that far surpassed Maya…
I guess Maya 7 got some of it’s features now that they bought Motionbuilder, but no multianimation? Thats lame.
I would buy it, but first priority is upgrading to Maya.7.
