My app is using both landscape and portrait orientation and there are no issues whatsoever in IOS 7
I launch the app on portrait , then go to landscape for some UI. if I click the home button (app background) then go back to the app, it totally breaks the orientation and shows up as a reverse portrait with half the screen cut off. Debug.Log(Screen.orientation) shows up as landscape as it should.
I know there was a previous bug around 4.5 with IOS8 that was fixed. Not sure if that’s related.
I assume the fix was rolled into 4.6.
Thanks
This is a known issue and heavily discussed in the iOS forum . Please read this next time.
You need to update to Beta 21.
Sorry, I was searching the forum and only found threads about an older issue.
Anyways, I’ve just tested it on Beta 21 and the issue is still there.
Coming back from Background messes up the orientation.
If you try you app in 4.5 (without the gui) does it still happen or is it fixed there? If its fixed there then the fix will eventually get into 4.6, if its still broken then report a bug.
Is this issue fixed in the release candidates?
I dont know when it was fixed in 4.5. Anything in 4.5.5 will be included but any thing part of 4.5.5 patches will not.
Read the damn changelogs and patch releases…
