Surprised this isn’t getting more attention. This really is one of the best FPS’s I’ve played with Unity.
I am really impressed by the ‘feel’ of the first person mechanics, it feels as good as a quake or unreal DM game. Did you guys produce all the FPS code yourself, or did you use the Ultimate FPS Script plugin?
Also the networking code is quite impressive, accurate, fast and non-jittery. Is this running on Unity’s built-in networking or Photon Cloud or something else?
Your menu system is also awesome as well, is all the GUI done with OnGUI functions?
You also seem to have absolutely no gameplay jitters or frame stutters. If you could share any information with the community about how you guys avoided frame skips due to garbage collection or other, or just how you got everything running so smoothly in general, I think a lot of people would appreciate it. Occasional frame stutters and general legginess in certain scripts is something that I still see a lot of Unity games suffer from.
I hope you guys get wildly successful and finally prove Unity can be used to make an FPS game that pulls in a lot of revenue.
