Question: What can I do about this?

Get the paypal ID from their site and report them to Paypal. With a little luck, Paypal may freeze their account.
Good idea,
I’m on the phone with them now!

Congratulations?
The domain name is registered through Domains by Proxy, Inc so you can’t get contact information. However, the name itself is registered with Godaddy. The hosting may or may not also be with godaddy.com.
Might be a good idea to give them a call as well.
That site is provided by Forumotion. Hosting companies cannot be held initially liable for illegal activity, but they do have an obligation to remove it or face liability.
It is located in Texas, so it is subject to US law on these matters. In this case, it would likely fall under the Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act. Basically, if they didn’t know about it, they have to remove it. If they were directly profiting from it, they would be liable. It seems unlikely that they were liable in any way, so they will probably just remove the site and the guy will move it to some other country.
Sucks. Sorry to hear that. I see several other Unity developers’ games up there, too.
Does your app use iPhoneUtils.isApplicationGenuine?
No, I will try it in the first update. There is not a lot of info on this, so I was a little apprehensive to use it.
I just got off the phone with Paypal, they said they will take action to remove the donation button. We will see.
To be honest, I wish our apps were cracked …they didn’t even attract enough attention for a crack :/.
Adding the isApplicationGenuine should be an easy fix for you :).
Thanks,
I just sent them an email telling them about this and that it is copyright infringement.

yesterday released update 1.2 for iSFF and after 6 hours has been cracked…
however, we can not do anything. They would cracking the games even if this would cost 10 cent.
They cracked this in Ravensword… I would imagine it’s built into the cracker program now.
How do you guys use iPhoneUtils.isApplicationGenuine anyway?
I use it in my (unreleased yet) game, but not at the start of the game to block “detected” pirates, I just make the game crash after a random amount of time, or corrupt their save games, etc.
I wonder if crackers even check games and app that don’t actually prevent loading. Do they have time to play a game for 45 minutes just to test if their crack worked?
Do they patch your script or they patch Unity’s code? I would be inclined to say that they patch Unity’s code to always return true, but I don’t know. Even my delayed payload won’t work if it’s the case, but would they bother patching it if they didn’t detect any problems in the first few minutes of play?
I stuck an isApplicationGenuine check about halfway through the game, so it wouldn’t be obvious. I think they’ve cracked it in Unity.
That´s a bummer Crazy Robot, i see that happening with most apps now.
Regarding letting protection checks have effect later on in the game than on app start i think that would be a good idea by itself if there wouldn´t be a way to generally take out that kind of protection scheme with automated manners.
Seems like there are some though and then also i´d suggest you don´t do anything that makes a pirated copy run as if it was buggy.
Console and PC retail games which did that then often got a very bad reputation in many cases because pirates who often get the games on or before sales day 1 bitch publicly about the game being buggy.
