It is very, very rudimentary. I’m not sure why they call it an MMO network engine. It’s not even really a server. It just appears to be someone’s personal project, not an engine by any definition. It’s a handful of classes that connect to database and retrieve hardcoded blocks of data as objects. There is no abstraction and nothing related to gameplay, just account/player data retrieval. I am also not seeing any kind of encryption, passwords are stored all over the place as public strings. Skip it.
Hmm. That gives me an idea. I could make a nicely structured folder layout, each having a stub script in that is empty with a single comment : // add your code here.
Then sell it as a mmo/fps/rpg/rts highly customizable framework. I could even throw in a rock, a barrel and sword, claiming it comes with demo assets. What d’ya think? $20?
