I created a new asset based off of an old asset. I imported the old asset, renamed some folders, and created a new asset from that. A new package. Great, right? Except…when I create a new project, import my new package, and then try to import the old package, Unity imports the old package to the folder of the new package!! It’s like it got confused when I renamed the folders when I created the new asset. Please help, I don’t know how to fix this. I even tried to delete the global cache by following this: Unity - Manual: Global Cache but it didn’t work!
It doesn’t matter what I try to do, if I import the new asset first, then the old one gets imported to the folder of the new, and vice versa. Now Unity thinks they are one and the same. I just want them to be imported correctly, to their correct folders! I even tried to rename the folders, it doesn’t work!! HELP PLEASE!
