I am an Unity Publisher on the AssetStore, and recently, the publisher “panel” (where you can create your asset page on the store) has changed.
I am confused about the “Package Status” section on this new panel (shown in the screenshot bellow) :
As you can see, even if my package is Published on the AssetStore (the package is in the “published” list in my assets on the store, and it is online), the “Package Test Status” is “in progress”.
I don’t really understand what does “Package Test Status” mean.
Can my asset be bought even if the status is “in progress” ?
Furthermore, the assets that i have published Before the new version of the publisher panel are marked as"Not tested" with “This package upload bypass auto testing.” .
I please you to help me because i don’t understand if there is something wrong, if i will still be able to sell my assets, and what does that mean.
Thank you very much in advance ! This is important to me
PS : sorry for my bad english, i do the best that i can
Please note that this is the package testing status. Your submission can still be accepted even while the testing status is In Progress.
If you have more questions about the new publisher panel, I recommend joining the Asset Store Publishers forum section using the instructions in the acceptance email.
This is not true my package also states “Package Test Status: In progress”
but the new content I added is not part of the package yet as notified by a customer.
Has your submission been approved? Testing and approval are separate things. Your submission can be approved even while testing is still in progress. Once it’s approved, it should be available for customers to download.
Is it possible that your upload didn’t go through and the submission used the previous version of the package? Are there any files such as a version readme file that would indicate the package version?
It might also be an error on the Asset Store side. I had one occurrence when the Asset Store was delivering an old package, even though a newer version was approved. You could try contacting support (at) unity3d.com. However, the simplest solution might just be to resubmit.
