Check the logs and find put what is going wrong. Or something.
This is happening to me also. Sometimes it eventually loads. There is definitely new behaviour that was introduced in 6f or there is something wrong with the server side. Wasn’t happening to me in 5f.
This is the error in console when loading the editor now:
Curl error 28: Failed to connect to amplify.pt port 80 after 21673 ms: Couldn’t connect to server
That’s one of my assets, amplify shaders, not able to connect. The packagemanager can also not connect. Something wrong with the http / ip comms stack within the editor.
Also happened to me yesterday - button to update an asset was there (and worked/downloaded the update), but there was no import button or description. Finally got it to open the import window for the asset in question by hitting “open in unity” from the asset store website. After doing that, everything in Package Manager worked fine again. Before doing that, just lots of spinners that never stopped spinning, even after closing and reopening the editor. It didn’t show any “something went wrong” message or red exclamations, just couldn’t get past the column of spinners. This was 6f1 in Windows 11.
Edit: Fixed as of 2022.3.8f1
Any update on this? Is it on our end? Is it on the server end?
Hi, I can confirm that after I have upgraded Unity to Unity 2022.3.6f1 Personal Edition (upgraded from 2022.3.5f1 - I didn’t get this problems before), I get the same problems with Package Manager. I’m using Windows 10 Pro, Unity Hub 3.5.0. The error I get is this:
Yes I have the same issue after 6f. Looking forward to 7f and this being fixed, but all transforms being reversed or some other hilariously destructive bug.
They already nailed it in 2021. It was fast and functional. Why change it in 2022? They made it slower and less functional with pointless UI changes, just leave it alone.
I have installed version 2022.3.7f1 and nothing has changed. The same issue as before.
Same here - searched for an asset (using the search box), it displayed it, but did not have any description or import button until clearing the search then doing the search again. No errors displayed in console.
Edit: Fixed as of 2022.3.8f1
Hello, I’m sorry you guys are experiencing this issue, as reported in another forum thread the fix for this issue will be released with 2022.3.8f1.
Hi, I can confirm that with the release 2022.3.8f1 the Package Manager is working OK as before. Thank you.
Unity is not making it easy with releases wow now another simple fix hopefully one day they get it right
It’s working - thanks for fixing it.
My job is make a game, not fix unity
Your job is to find, identify and fix all obstacles barring you from making your game. That includes finding out what is wrong with Unity. If you want to fulfill your job and want to make your game. If not, then whatever.
