Painting trees and grass, a pain in the but

As the title says, after 3.2 working with terrain becomes increasingly hard and sometimes even impossible. Before 3.2 i could comfortably paint the terrain with trees and grass, i could tell where they go and the general view of the terrain from high altitude or get closer to terrain and worked on the fine details.
Now is almost impossible to work with terrain assets. Sometimes you can see what is painted, but if you change altitude or angle of viewing trees/grass/detail meshes doesn’t get rendered by editor and you end up not knowing what was the result of the last click you made.

I would like to know how to extend editor camera field of view or remove that culling.

I’d like facilities to make it possible to paint and shape the terrain whilst walking on it. A simple on/off synchronisation of the cameras between the Scene view and the Game view would help a lot.

The above missing grass looks like it’s being caused by simply having a lower cut off distance. Increasing that should fix it.
