Particle collision?

Is there an equivalent of OnParticleCollision for the new particle system? If so, does it have to be in a script attached to the particle system itself or can I attach it to the collider that is being hit by the particles (my end goal is to set up something like if(hitbyparticles==true)foo;) Thanks

They’re working on it for Unity 4.2 with shuriken, but as of now you have to use the legacy particle system:
