Particle Material

I can’t seem to find documentation for how to customize a particle’s material/shader. I’m sure there’s a good discussion of it somewhere, I just can’t seem to find it.

For instance, I want to duplicate the basic smoke material but swap in different bitmaps and mess with some of its paramaters to make some good steam. I’m not even sure if I should be messing with the material or the shader itself. :?

If you want to make steam you probably want to use the shader Particles/AlphaBlended with a white particle (It needs an alpha channel, not black around the edges)

Or a Partcle/Additive material where the “steam” is whitish and the transparent part is pure black. Slightly more effecient since you don’t need to have an alpha channel.
