Particle One Shot + Autodestruct still going off?

I’m sure I’m overlooking something minor here.

I’m having issues with a one shot particle system constantly repeating?

I tried searching on the forums and people said that if you toggle Autodestruct it will work as desired, but I’m having no luck with that either…

You have to deactive it- uncheck the box at the top if the inspector-

If you deactivate it then you won’t see it at all. I have the same problem. I would think setting OneShot to true means when you create the object the particle system goes off ONCE then stops. Instead it looks like it just keeps going off so OneShot doesn’t seem to have any effect other than to constantly repeat.

Any ideas?

I usually use the Emit() command and that fires particles off only once.

I just ran into this myself… quite annoying. Looks like “Autodestruct” with “One Shot” doesn’t seem to work, at least in the web player build.
